A 25-year-old woman was allegedly molested, stabbed, and robbed by two friends of her husband after they dropped her intoxicated husband home late Saturday night in the Habibganj area, police said.

Habibganj police on Sunday registered a case against the accused on charges of house trespass, molestation, assault, and snatching. They were produced before court on Monday, from where they were sent to jail.

According to police, the complainant's husband, aged 30, works as a watchman and lives with his family in a servant quarter at a bungalow, while she works as a domestic help. Her husband was friends with two men, Ranjeet and Suraj, residents of Jatkhedi in Misrod and Mandideep. On Saturday night around 10 pm, the three consumed liquor together near a liquor shop at RRL Trisection.
The accused allegedly made the watchman consume excessive alcohol and took him to his residence on a motorcycle, leaving him unconscious outside. When the wife came out for water, both men followed her inside, molested her, stabbed her in the back during a scuffle, and snatched her mangalsutra before fleeing. Police arrested both accused.
