AAP Initiates Public Screenings of Dhruv Rathee's Video on Delhi Liquor Scam in Punjab
In a strategic move to counter allegations, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has commenced public screenings of a video by popular YouTuber Dhruv Rathee, focusing on the Delhi liquor scam. The first screening took place in Alawalpur town, Adampur, Jalandhar, organized by Pawan Kumar Tinu, Chairman of the Punjab State Cooperative Agricultural Development Bank and Adampur Halqa in-charge.
Exposing the Conspiracy
During the event, Tinu addressed the gathering, stating that Rathee's video, titled "India's biggest conspiracy, reality of Delhi liquor scam," has unveiled what he described as a fabricated plot by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). According to Tinu, the video exposes efforts to defame former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and other senior AAP leaders. He emphasized that the Delhi court discharged Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, Punjab AAP in-charge, due to a lack of evidence, declaring the case baseless.
Tinu asserted, "This documentary has revealed the lies of the BJP. The Delhi CM was sent to jail on charges of a fake scam that never even occurred."
Widespread Campaign Plans
The AAP plans to extend these screenings to every village across Punjab, aiming to ensure that the public is informed about what they claim is the truth behind the scam. Tinu highlighted that the video will be shown extensively to counter what he termed as misinformation spread by political opponents.
In recent days, several AAP leaders have actively promoted the video on their social media platforms, amplifying its reach and message. This campaign follows the discharge of Kejriwal and Sisodia from the alleged scam case nearly two weeks prior, marking a renewed effort by the party to clear their names and regain public trust.
Political Implications
This initiative underscores AAP's ongoing battle against the BJP in the political arena, particularly in Punjab where the party holds significant influence. By leveraging digital content from a well-known YouTuber, AAP aims to connect with younger audiences and broader demographics, framing the liquor scam as a conspiracy rather than a legitimate legal issue.
The screenings are part of a broader strategy to mobilize support and challenge narratives ahead of upcoming elections, reflecting the intense rivalry between AAP and BJP in Indian politics.
