Akhilesh Yadav Accuses BJP of Fear Over PDA Community Backlash on Women's Reservation Bill

Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday, claiming the ruling party is experiencing significant anxiety following its defeat on the women's reservation amendment bill in Parliament. According to Yadav, the BJP is now apprehensive about a potential backlash from the PDA community, which he stated comprises approximately 95% of India's population.

BJP's Sleepless Nights Over PDA Unity

In a strongly worded statement issued from Lucknow, Yadav asserted that the BJP is spending sleepless nights worrying about the consequences they might face once the PDA community unites against what he called the party's misdeeds. "The BJP is spending sleepless nights over the possible fallouts that will come their way once the PDA community unites against the BJP's misdeeds. Like always, the BJP has gone underground and is getting restless," the SP chief declared.

Yadav emphasized that the PDA community would have been deprived of its due representation if the women's reservation amendment bill had been passed. He claimed this legislative defeat has left the BJP jittery and unable to digest the political setback.

Allegations of Hate Attacks and Political Morality

The Samajwadi Party leader took particular exception to a series of posts on the BJP's official X handle that featured photographs and names of opposition leaders, including himself and his wife Dimple Yadav, regarding the women's reservation amendment bill. Yadav characterized these posts as demonstrating a new low in political morality that would be recorded in historical annals.

"One cannot expect anything better from BJP, which is full of hatred for the PDA community. What the BJP does not realize is that such 'hate attacks' not only further unite the PDA but also make the bond stronger," he stated emphatically.

Warning of Electoral Consequences

Yadav issued a stark warning about potential electoral repercussions for the BJP, suggesting that party leaders from PDA backgrounds would be hardest hit by what he described as a line drawn by the BJP itself. "Today the BJP has drawn a line which will hit their party leaders from PDA background the hardest. They faced defeat in 2024 Lok Sabha polls and will face worse times ahead like electoral boycott by the community," he predicted.

The SP president drew historical parallels, noting that "history stands witness to instances where once the destructive forces begin to lose ground, they simply crumble. That's exactly what is happening with the BJP."

Accusations of Staged Protests

In a separate but related development, Akhilesh Yadav accused the BJP and its allies of orchestrating fake protests that are being carefully filmed like movie shooting schedules. He claimed the ruling party has engaged young people to enact these protests, taking advantage of widespread unemployment under the current regime.

"They have engaged youngsters to enact protests, which are being filmed like a shooting schedule. We don't blame the young men and women who have been roped in for this as they will be able to earn some money in a scenario where unemployment is rampant," Yadav explained with apparent sympathy for the participants.

He added that "Under the present BJP regime, people are feeling helpless and are ready to do anything to earn some money. The BJP is taking advantage of people's helplessness to put to shape its nefarious designs." The SP chief warned that the BJP would continue to hatch conspiracies through such manufactured demonstrations.

The allegations come amid ongoing political tensions surrounding representation issues and parliamentary procedures, with the women's reservation amendment bill serving as a focal point for broader debates about social justice and political strategy in contemporary Indian politics.
