Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Nitin Nabin chaired a series of key organisational meetings on Monday, sparking speculation about imminent Rajya Sabha nominations and a possible Cabinet reshuffle. The meetings, held at the party headquarters in New Delhi, were attended by senior leaders and state unit presidents.
Focus on Organisational Feedback
BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra stated that such meetings, where feedback from party workers is sought, are crucial for the party's growth and internal democracy. He said, "These interactions help us understand the ground reality and strengthen our organisation."
Possible Nominations and Reshuffle
Political analysts believe that the discussions could lead to the selection of candidates for upcoming Rajya Sabha vacancies, as well as a reshuffle of the Union Cabinet. Sources indicate that performance reviews of several ministers and state leaders were also on the agenda.
The meetings come ahead of the Parliament session and key state elections. Nabin, who took over as BJP president earlier this year, has been focusing on consolidating the party's organisational structure.
Meanwhile, the party is also preparing for its national executive meeting, where broader political strategies are expected to be finalised.
