BJP holds four seats: Silchar (represented by Dipayan Chakraborty), Dholai (Nihar Ranjan Das, SC), Udharbond (Mihir Kanti Shome), and Lakhipur (Kaushik Rai). The remaining three constituencies are controlled by rival parties: Sonai is held by AIUDF's Karim Uddin Barbhuiya, while Barkhola and Katigorah are represented by Congress MLAs Misbahul Islam Laskar and Khalil Uddin Mazumder, respectively.
