Black Box Found in Ajit Pawar Plane Crash Investigation

In a significant development in the investigation of the tragic plane crash that claimed the life of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and four others, authorities have successfully recovered the aircraft's black box from the crash site in Baramati.

Flight Recorders Provide Crucial Evidence

The Ministry of Civil Aviation has confirmed the recovery of both components of the flight recorder system - the cockpit voice recorder (CVR) and the flight data recorder (FDR). These devices are expected to provide investigators with vital information about the final moments before the aircraft went down.

Teams from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, accompanied by forensic experts, reached the crash site earlier in the day to conduct thorough technical examinations. The data extracted from the black box will undergo detailed analysis to establish the precise cause of the fatal accident that occurred on January 28.

Police Investigation Underway

Meanwhile, Pune rural police have officially registered an Accidental Death Report at the Baramati Taluka Police Station and have initiated further investigation into the incident. A Pune police official stated, "An ADR has been registered at Baramati Taluka Police Station in connection with the air crash in which Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar lost his life. Further investigation has been initiated."

Final Journey of a Political Leader

As the investigation progresses, funeral preparations are underway at the Vidya Pratishthan ground in Baramati for the Nationalist Congress Party leader. Supporters gathered outside Ahilyabai Holkar Government Medical College as Pawar's mortal remains were brought out, paying their final respects to the veteran politician.

The funeral procession for Maharashtra's longest-serving deputy chief minister (non-consecutively) began from the Vidya Pratishthan campus at 9 am. The procession is passing through the city to allow the public to pay homage, concluding at the Vidya Pratishthan ground where the last rites will be performed at 11 am.

Antim Yatra with Traditional Honors

Pawar's mortal remains are being carried in a specially decorated rath during the Antim Yatra. The chariot has been adorned with flowers and displays his image along with a board reading "Swargiya Ajitdada Pawar amar rahein." The elaborate arrangements reflect the respect and admiration the political leader commanded among his constituents and party members.

Ajit 'Dada' Pawar died on Wednesday when the aircraft he was traveling in crashed at Baramati airport while he was en route to attend a public rally for the Zilla Parishad elections. The tragic incident has sent shockwaves through Maharashtra's political landscape and aviation community.
