Hyderabad: BRS leader and MLC Sravan Dasoju launched a sharp critique against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, accusing him of completely surrendering his administrative responsibility and accountability. Dasoju claimed that the Chief Minister is functioning like an irresponsible “reactionary government” that operates only under pressure from the BRS.
Reactionary Governance Alleged
In a statement issued on Monday, Sravan pointed to several instances where the CM reportedly acted only after the BRS had raised issues and launched agitations. He said, “KCR conducted a public meeting and highlighted farmers’ distress, and suddenly Rythu Bharosa funds were released. Similarly, paddy procurement was taken up only after BRS protests over procurement failures, and collectors were rushed with instructions to complete the process. The CM conducted a review meeting on the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme (PRLIS) only after the BRS announced a padayatra on the project.”
Not Governance, But Panic Management
Dasoju termed this approach as “mediocre political panic management” rather than genuine governance. He asserted that the Congress government appears to have no independent agenda, no administrative seriousness, and no proactive vision or commitment to the state of Telangana. “Every file in this government moves only after the BRS shakes the system. Every decision comes only after KCR exposes their failures. If the BRS stops speaking for one week, this government may go into an administrative coma,” he warned.
The MLC further criticized the lack of proactive measures, stating that the administration seems reactive and devoid of any long-term planning. He urged the Chief Minister to take responsibility and govern with accountability rather than merely responding to political pressure.
This development comes amid ongoing political tensions in Telangana, with the BRS and Congress frequently exchanging barbs over governance issues. The BRS has been particularly vocal about farmers' issues, irrigation projects, and procurement policies, which they claim the Congress government has neglected.
