In the recent elections, Vijay's TVK party emerged as a formidable force in Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, West Bengal election results showed Mamata Banerjee lagging behind Suvendu Adhikari after the second round in Bhabanipur. TVK pushed DMK and AIADMK to the margins, while BJP may oust Mamata in Bengal and retain Assam.

In Kerala's Chadayamangalam, INC's M.M. Naseer emerged as the winner, defeating CPI's J. Chinchurani by 7,486 votes. M.M. Naseer received 68,281 votes, while J. Chinchurani secured 60,795 votes. The current MLA is J. Chinchu Rani from CPI, elected in 2021 with 67,252 votes (45.69 per cent), defeating INC's M.M. Naseer (53,574 votes, 36.40 per cent) by 13,678 votes. BJP's Vishnu Pattathanam got 22,238 votes (15.11 per cent) amid a 71.75 per cent turnout.
