NEW DELHI: The Congress party on Tuesday strongly criticized the government's action against CBSE officials in the OSM (Online Screening Mechanism) controversy, calling it an attempt to avoid fixing accountability. It reiterated its demand for the sacking of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Congress leaders condemn government action
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi termed the government's move a "cover-up" and an "eyewash," respectively. Congress general secretary KC Venugopal described it as an "admission of guilt without punishing the culprit."
Jairam Ramesh targets education minister
Congress spokesperson Jairam Ramesh lauded Gen Z for exposing the Modi government's failures. He argued that "justice requires that the 'Mantri Pradhan' be sacked." Ramesh accused Pradhan of presiding over a "monumentally corrupt, inept, and incompetent ecosystem that has played havoc with the lives of lakhs of youth."
