Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi termed the government's move a "cover-up" and an "eyewash," respectively. Congress general secretary KC Venugopal described it as an "admission of guilt without punishing the culprit."

Jairam Ramesh targets education minister

Congress spokesperson Jairam Ramesh lauded Gen Z for exposing the Modi government's failures. He argued that "justice requires that the 'Mantri Pradhan' be sacked."
