In a significant effort to address the needs of retired military personnel and offer direct assistance to the families of those who served in the armed forces, the Zila Sainik Welfare Office in Dibrugarh organized a mini-rally for ex-servicemen and widows on Monday. The event was held at the training centre within the district commissioner's office, aiming to foster a strong support network for the veteran community.

During the program, a total of 63 aid items and relief packages were distributed to ex-servicemen and Veer Naris, which refers to war widows. Retired Brigadier Polash Choudhury, the director of ex-servicemen, attended the rally as the chief guest.
