A fire broke out at a spa located on the sixth floor of a high-rise commercial building in the Racecourse area of Vadodara on Saturday morning, causing panic among occupants and visitors. Preliminary investigations suggest that a short circuit may have triggered the blaze.
Incident Details
According to sources, the fire was reported at around 10 am at a spa within the Everest Onyx Commercial Complex, situated opposite the Ellora Park vegetable market. At the time of the incident, the spa was closed, which prevented any casualties inside the premises.
Rescue Operation
However, four people were stranded inside a lift on the second floor after the building's power supply was disrupted due to the fire. Fire brigade personnel promptly arrived at the scene and safely rescued all four individuals.
Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control before it could spread to other parts of the building. Further investigation into the exact cause of the fire is currently underway.
