Heavy rain is set to continue across Himachal Pradesh in the coming days, with the state's Meteorological Centre issuing orange and yellow weather alerts for several districts until July 9. Maximum temperatures are expected to drop by 2°C to 3°C during this period, while minimum temperatures will remain normal.

For July 5, a yellow weather alert has been issued for Shimla, Kangra, and Sirmaur districts, where heavy to moderate rain is expected in isolated places. Light to moderate rain is also very likely in the higher hills of the state.
Rainfall in Past 24 Hours
Light to moderate rain was witnessed in many parts of the state, with heavy rain observed in isolated places over the past 24 hours. Rajgarh in Sirmaur district recorded 90 mm of rainfall, the highest in the state. Other notable rainfall amounts include Kasauli with 55 mm, Manali with 51 mm, Kufri with 11.5 mm, Kangra with 8.2 mm, Mandi with 5.2 mm, Shimla with 5 mm, and Dharamsala with 4.1 mm.
Temperature Trends
Minimum temperatures across the state were normal, ranging between 11°C and 27°C. Maximum temperatures were down by 2°C, ranging between 18°C and 35°C. In Shimla, the maximum temperature was 22.5°C, while Dharamsala recorded 28°C, Manali 23°C, Solan 29°C, Kangra 28.6°C, Mandi 30°C, Sundernagar 30.2°C, Kufri 20.3°C, Keylong 15.8°C, Bhuntar 29°C, Kalpa 24.8°C, Narkanda 18.5°C, Chamba 31.1°C, and Nahan 29.7°C. The highest maximum temperature in the state was 35.4°C recorded in Una, while the lowest minimum temperature was 11.2°C recorded in Kukumseri in Lahaul and Spiti district.

The Meteorological Centre has advised residents and tourists to remain cautious, especially in areas prone to landslides and flash floods.
