Under BJP, India and UP emerged from appeasement, corruption: Nitin Nabin
Under BJP, India and UP emerged from appeasement, corruption

Union Minister Nitin Nabin on Saturday asserted that under the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) rule, both India and Uttar Pradesh have emerged from a dark period marked by appeasement politics and corruption. He credited the Centre and the state government's welfare schemes for benefiting crores of people and generating employment for lakhs of youth.

Shift from Appeasement to Development

Speaking at a press conference in Lucknow, Nabin said, "Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the double-engine government has transformed the landscape of Uttar Pradesh. The era of appeasement and corruption is over, and now development and good governance are the priorities." He highlighted that the state has seen a significant reduction in crime and improvement in law and order.

Welfare Schemes and Employment Generation

Nabin listed various schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, and Ayushman Bharat that have reached millions. He claimed that over 10 crore people in Uttar Pradesh have received free ration under the National Food Security Act, and more than 2 crore women have benefited from the Kanya Sumangala Yojana. "These schemes have not only provided basic necessities but also created employment opportunities for lakhs of youth," he added.

Corruption-Free Governance

The minister also lauded the government's efforts in curbing corruption, stating that the BJP's rule has ensured transparency in public welfare programs. "Earlier, funds meant for the poor were siphoned off by middlemen. Now, direct benefit transfer has ensured that every rupee reaches the intended beneficiary," he said. He cited the example of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, where over 2.5 crore farmers in Uttar Pradesh have received direct cash transfers.

Criticism of Previous Governments

Nabin did not spare the previous governments, accusing them of dividing society on caste and religious lines for political gains. "The Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party regimes were synonymous with corruption and anarchy. They only focused on vote bank politics," he alleged. He claimed that under the BJP, Uttar Pradesh has witnessed infrastructure development, including expressways, airports, and metro rail projects.

Focus on 2027 Assembly Elections

With the 2027 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections in sight, Nabin expressed confidence that the BJP would retain power. "The public has seen the difference. They will once again bless the BJP with a mandate to continue the development work," he said. He urged party workers to reach out to every household and highlight the achievements of the government.
