President Droupadi Murmu Showcases India's Military Prowess in Republic Day Eve Address
On the eve of Republic Day 2026, President Droupadi Murmu delivered a significant national address, focusing extensively on India's defence capabilities and security achievements. Operation Sindoor Success and Defence Self-Reliance
President Murmu specifically mentioned Operation Sindoor, a targeted military operation that successfully destroyed terror infrastructure. She emphasized that this achievement was made possible through India's increasing self-reliance in defence manufacturing and strategic planning. The President stressed that such operations demonstrate the country's resolve to combat terrorism effectively while minimizing external dependencies.
Siachen Base Camp Visit and Army Appreciation
Recounting her recent visit to the Siachen Base Camp, President Murmu shared her observations of Army soldiers operating in extreme conditions. She praised their exceptional courage, unwavering motivation, and dedication to duty despite facing some of the harshest environmental challenges on the planet. The President noted that their resilience serves as an inspiration to the entire nation.
Air Force and Naval Capabilities Demonstrated
The address also covered President Murmu's experiences with the Indian Air Force and Navy. She described witnessing the combat capabilities of Sukhoi and Rafale fighter jets, emphasizing their role in maintaining air superiority and national security.
