Owaisi Makes Final Push for AIMIM in Sambhajinagar Civic Polls

AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi delivered a powerful final appeal to voters on Tuesday. He addressed a large public gathering at Kat Kat Gate in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The campaigning period for the Municipal Corporation elections officially concluded with this rally.

Owaisi urged every citizen to cast their vote for the AIMIM's distinctive kite symbol on polling day. He emphasized that a vote serves as concrete proof of one's citizenship in a democracy.

Call for Hindu-Muslim Unity and Peaceful Polling

The party's state president, former MP Imtiaz Jaleel, set the tone with a resonant slogan. He loudly proclaimed "Hindu Muslim Ekta Zindabad," appealing for unity across all faiths. Jaleel asked people from every community to support the party's candidates.

Owaisi echoed the call for a peaceful election process. He expressed confidence that the public knows exactly how to respond if anyone tries to create trouble or disrupt the harmony. He stated a clear political objective: the BJP, Shiv Sena, NCP, and Congress must face a decisive political defeat in these elections.

Warning to Rebels and Promise of Personal Oversight

Owaisi issued a stern warning to former AIMIM members who are now contesting against the party. He accused them of a profound betrayal. This betrayal, he claimed, is not just against the Majlis party but against the very people of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and their collective sacrifices.

"Even Owaisi is not bigger than the Majlis or the unity of this city," he declared. He directly asked these rebel candidates to withdraw from the contest immediately. If they refuse, he predicted they would face certain defeat at the hands of the voters.

Looking ahead to a potential victory, Owaisi made a significant promise. He assured the crowd that if AIMIM councillors are elected, he would take personal responsibility. The MP pledged to visit Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar every two to three months. His visits would focus on reviewing ward-level development work and ensuring progress.

Listing Key Civic Priorities for the City

The AIMIM chief outlined a comprehensive list of local issues that would become immediate priorities. He highlighted sanitation, better roads, reliable water supply, and functional drainage lines. Improving schools and hospitals also featured prominently on his agenda.

Owaisi specifically mentioned the protection of small traders and street hawkers. He stressed the importance of implementing the National Hawkers Act for their benefit. He advised all future elected representatives to work with genuine humility. Winning the election is just the beginning, he cautioned; they must not become inactive after securing their seats.

Criticism of PM Modi and NSA Doval's Historical Remarks

Earlier in his speech, Owaisi launched a sharp critique targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. He took issue with their recent public references to historical events.

Owaisi said he felt compelled to respond to two specific speeches from the past two days. One was delivered by Prime Minister Modi at the Somnath temple. The other was given by NSA Ajit Doval.

He acknowledged that PM Modi spoke about the historical looting and destruction of Somnath by Mahmud of Ghazni. Owaisi called this a documented fact. However, he alleged a critical omission in the Prime Minister's narrative. Owaisi claimed Modi failed to mention who exactly aided Mahmud Ghazni during that historical invasion.

Owaisi then turned to remarks attributed to NSA Doval about "taking revenge on history." He criticized this concept as a dangerous and illogical approach. To illustrate his point, he posed rhetorical questions. Would this mean attacking Central Asia or China to seek revenge on the Huns and Kushans who ended the Gupta Empire? Would it even mean seeking revenge against Alexander the Great? He suggested such a path leads to endless and futile conflict.

Gratitude to Supporters

Concluding his address, Owaisi expressed heartfelt gratitude to his supporters. He specifically thanked the women who offered prayers for his well-being throughout the campaign. He also acknowledged the energetic youth who welcomed him with enthusiasm at every stop. Their dedication, he implied, fuels the party's fight.
