PM Modi Accuses Congress of Misleading on Election Results

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday took a swipe at the Congress party during his visit to Bengaluru, accusing it of misleading the public regarding recent election results. Addressing a massive public gathering in the city, PM Modi stated that Congress leaders were creating confusion even as significant political developments unfolded across the country.

PM Modi's Remarks on Congress

“The Congress party's ecosystem is such that even while developments were taking place in Tamil Nadu, Congress leaders in Delhi were misleading people about the May 4 results. They claimed that no government had been formed in Tamil Nadu, and in Kerala, despite winning, they are unable to decide on their leaders,” PM Modi said.

Historic Election Victories for BJP and NDA

The Prime Minister asserted that recent election results across various states demonstrate that the BJP and NDA are “creating a new chapter in history.” He highlighted several key victories: the NDA forming the government in Puducherry for the second consecutive time, the NDA forming the government in Assam for the third consecutive time, and the BJP receiving massive support in Bengal for the first time. He also mentioned the BJP's record-breaking victory in the panchayat and municipal elections in Gujarat just two weeks ago.

“Today, I have come to Bengaluru at a time when the country is discussing the election results. All these developments are historic events that are creating a new chapter in history,” PM Modi added.

Massive Turnout at Bengaluru Event

PM Modi also spoke about the huge turnout at the Bengaluru event, praising the strength and discipline of BJP workers. “I have visited Karnataka many times. Sometimes, due to lack of time, I would just hold a small programme at the airport and move ahead. But this is the first time such a massive programme has been held at an airport,” he said.

“Today, I can see a saffron sun rising from the land of Bengaluru. As a BJP worker, I know that only BJP workers can gather in such large numbers and in an organised manner so early in the morning for a programme. I am very grateful to all of you for coming here in such huge numbers,” PM Modi added.

Infrastructure Projects and Security Arrangements

During his visit, PM Modi is set to inaugurate or lay the foundation stone for projects worth Rs 9,500 crore, covering roads, transportation and logistics, textiles, railways, and fuel. He will also participate in a programme dedicating Sindhu Hospital to the nation. For the public meeting, police made extensive security and traffic arrangements, deploying around 2,000 police personnel and 620 traffic policemen, along with specialised units, to manage security, law and order, and traffic.
