Pune: The fire brigade officials on Tuesday afternoon rescued a seven-year-old boy after cutting portions of two walls of adjoining housing societies on the Jambhulwadi road.
Incident Details
According to the city fire brigade officials, the boy and his friends from the Govind Besil society on the Jambhulwadi road were playing cricket on the terrace of the building during their summer vacation. Around 3pm, the ball went into the gap between the walls of the two housing societies. The boy, Ranvir (7), decided to fetch the ball by climbing down in that space.
He climbed down and got stuck between the two walls before he could fetch the ball. The boys on the terrace raised an alarm. Local residents then called the fire brigade.
Rescue Operation
The fire brigade team arrived promptly and assessed the situation. They carefully cut portions of both walls to create enough space to extricate the boy safely. The operation was completed without any injury to the child.
This incident highlights the dangers children can face during unsupervised play, especially in narrow spaces. Authorities urge parents to supervise children and educate them about the risks of climbing into confined areas.
