The Rail Coach Factory (RCF) in Kapurthala witnessed jubilant scenes following the announcement of the Workers’ Club election results. The elections, held on July 9, saw a decisive mandate in favor of the RCF Employees Union, which secured a clean sweep by winning all eight seats of the Workers’ Club Management Committee. Vote counting was completed on July 10.

Union candidates win all seats

Bharat Raj won the post of Secretary with a convincing margin, while Avtar Singh emerged victorious for the Cashier position. Other union candidates elected as members include Harpreet Singh, Ashwani Kumar, Pankaj Kumar Singh, Bhan Singh, Hari Om Meena, and Sandeep Kumar. The victory reflects strong employee support for the union’s leadership and agenda.

Polling and counting process

Polling was conducted on July 9, with employees casting their votes at designated booths within the factory premises. Counting of votes took place on July 10, overseen by election officials to ensure a transparent process.
