Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Launches Scathing Attack on BJP and Left in Kerala
Revanth Reddy Compares Modi and Vijayan as 'Modi Brothers'

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy Enters Kerala Political Fray with Forceful Critique

In a significant foray into Kerala's political landscape, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy delivered a blistering critique on Thursday, targeting both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF) government. Speaking at the United Democratic Front (UDF) manifesto release event in Kochi, Reddy drew a provocative parallel between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, labeling them as "Modi brothers" who are governing both India and Kerala.

Comparing Regimes: Allegations of Family Rule and Corruption

Revanth Reddy asserted that Vijayan has held power in Kerala for nearly a decade, drawing comparisons to former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's tenure from 2014 to 2023. He leveled serious allegations against both administrations, accusing them of promoting family rule, widespread corruption, administrative failures, and poor governance. Reddy declared that what he termed the "dark era" of Chief Minister Vijayan's leadership is approaching its conclusion, expressing strong confidence that a "golden era" under the UDF coalition will soon commence in Kerala.

In a pointed reference to the Sabarimala gold controversy, Reddy suggested that even sacred properties in what is known as "god's own country" are not receiving adequate protection under the current administration.

Predicting Political Shift and Offering Governance Model

Drawing direct parallels with Telangana's dramatic political transformation in 2023, Revanth Reddy predicted that a similar change is imminent in Kerala. He voiced firm confidence that the people of Kerala would vote out the Vijayan government in the upcoming elections. Reddy extended a challenge to UDF's political rivals, inviting them to visit Telangana to witness firsthand the implementation of the Congress government's six guarantees and governance model.

"I am prepared to personally demonstrate how these schemes have been successfully rolled out during a visit by any delegation from Kerala," Reddy stated emphatically. Addressing skepticism about the feasibility of implementing UDF guarantees in Kerala, he declared: "Telangana state serves as a definitive role model and provides the ultimate answer to such doubts."

Highlighting Telangana's Achievements and Economic Vision

Revanth Reddy emphasized that the Congress government in Telangana began implementing its guarantees immediately after taking office, starting from the very first cabinet meeting. He highlighted the waiver of ₹21,000 crore in agricultural loans, which has benefited approximately 2.5 million farming families across the state.

In response to questions from reporters, Reddy employed a popular Malayalam film dialogue to target Vijayan directly, stating: "Nee po mone Vijayan" (Go away, Vijayan). He asserted that the Chief Minister's "time is over" and that the UDF would effectively communicate to the people that central funds are not charitable donations from Prime Minister Modi but rightful entitlements.

Referring to the Telangana Rising Vision Document-2047, Revanth Reddy revealed ambitious economic goals for his state. Telangana aims to become a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and further expand to a $3 trillion economy by 2047. Remarkably, he noted that Telangana is maintaining an impressive growth rate of 10.8% without implementing any tax increases.
