Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Wednesday alleged that false narratives are being created to hinder India's growth and progress. Speaking at an event, he emphasized the need to recognize and counter such efforts.
Battle of Haldighati: Beyond Military Confrontation
Referring to the historic Battle of Haldighati, Bhagwat urged people to view it as more than just a military engagement. He said the battle symbolizes the spirit of resistance and should be understood in a broader cultural and historical context.
Call for Historical Reassessment
Bhagwat called for a reassessment of historical events to align with the nation's pride and self-respect. He stressed that India's rise is inevitable and attempts to spread falsehoods will not succeed.
The RSS chief's remarks come amid ongoing debates about historical interpretation and national identity. He urged citizens to remain vigilant against narratives that seek to divide or weaken the country.
