Suvendu Adhikari, who is poised to become the ninth Chief Minister of West Bengal, has declared his commitment to fulfilling every promise outlined in the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) manifesto. Speaking ahead of his swearing-in ceremony, Adhikari emphasized a shift from the previous administration, stating, 'Bhoi out, bharosa in' (Fear out, trust in).
Grand Swearing-In Ceremony
The oath-taking event is scheduled for Saturday morning at the historic Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata. The ceremony will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and several senior BJP leaders, marking a significant moment for the party in the state.
Manifesto Commitments
Adhikari reiterated his dedication to the BJP's electoral promises, which include development initiatives, job creation, and improved governance. He assured the people of West Bengal that his government would work tirelessly to bring about positive change and restore faith in the administration.
The event is expected to draw a large crowd, reflecting the political shift in the state. Adhikari's rise to the chief ministerial post follows the BJP's victory in the recent assembly elections, ending the Trinamool Congress's long-standing rule.
