Three dead, four injured in Delhi Alipur hit-and-run

NEW DELHI: In a tragic hit-and-run incident, three people lost their lives and four others sustained injuries after a dumper allegedly struck an autorickshaw in outer Delhi’s Alipur area. The deceased have been identified as a six-year-old minor girl and the autorickshaw driver, Raju Sharma (52). The identity of the third deceased is yet to be ascertained.

Incident Details

According to police, a call was received at the Alipur police station early in the morning from near a temple. Upon reaching the spot, officers found seven individuals in the autorickshaw with serious injuries. They were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where three were declared brought dead.

Injured Victims

The injured have been identified as Mukesh, his wife Pinki, a nine-year-old boy, and another passenger, Chotu Pandit (28). They have been referred to LNJP Hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment. A case has been registered in connection with the incident.

Investigation Underway

Police officials stated that CCTV footage from the area is being analyzed to trace and apprehend the accused driver. Further updates are awaited as the investigation progresses.
