Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Saturday emphasized party discipline and organizational integrity during a felicitation program for newly appointed BJP Tripura Pradesh President Abhishek Debroy. Addressing party leaders, supporters, and workers, Saha stated that strengthening the BJP at the grassroots level requires strict discipline, commitment to party ideology, and active community engagement.
Warning against indiscipline
Saha issued a stern warning that anti-party comments on social media, indiscipline, or any actions harmful to the organization would not be tolerated. "No anti-party remarks on social media or any indiscipline will be tolerated. We will undertake necessary actions in collaboration with the administration to address these issues," he said.
Message to internal dissent
In a sharp message to internal dissenters, the Chief Minister declared that he would not allow any "cancer" to spread within the party, signaling tough action against those perceived as undermining the organization from within. Saha also stated that individuals who joined or remained in the party for personal gain rather than ideology would be identified and face consequences. He issued a warning to corrupt individuals and mafias, reiterating the government's focus on transparent governance and organizational discipline.
Confidence in new president
Expressing confidence in Abhishek Debroy, Saha said the party would enter a new phase of growth and public service under his leadership. "I strongly believe that with Debroy at the helm, BJP in Tripura will gain strength, find new direction, and be imbued with renewed enthusiasm, which will elevate our public service efforts," he said.
Debroy's address
In his address, Debroy emphasized that the BJP is not a platform for individual gain but a movement centered on public service and principles. He told party workers that committed members would receive due respect and recognition within the organization.
The event highlighted the party's commitment to discipline and organizational integrity as it prepares for future challenges.
