Incident Details

The accident occurred around 7 am on the Sahar-Arwal road-cum-bridge under Sahar police station. According to police, the bike rider Santu Kumar, a resident of Jivan Bigha in Patna district, apparently dozed off, causing the bike to hit the railing. Rescue Operation

Sahar SHO Subodh Kumar said, "Some police personnel on regular patrol heard cries for help and promptly jumped into the river to rescue both girls. Fortunately, the water was not too deep, making the rescue easier." Local villagers also joined the effort.
