During the programme, Governor Jishnu Dev Varma shared his personal connection and experiences related to Uttar Pradesh. He praised the state's remarkable journey of transformation, highlighting how it has evolved into an "Uttam Pradesh" or excellent state. Governor Varma emphasized that Uttar Pradesh's development model has now become an ideal benchmark for the entire country, setting a new standard in governance and progress.

Anurag Sharma's Vision for Economic Growth

Speaking on the occasion, MP Anurag Sharma underscored the significant changes Uttar Pradesh has undergone since 2017. He stated that the state has successfully broken its old image and emerged as the world's most preferred destination for investors, earning the title of "Uttam Pradesh". Sharma emphasized that Uttar Pradesh is rapidly advancing towards the ambitious goal of becoming a one trillion-dollar economy.

He attributed this progress to strong law and order measures and transparent policies, which have enabled the state to surpass leading states in attracting investments. According to Sharma, these factors have set a new benchmark in economic development, making Uttar Pradesh a model for others to follow.

Security and Infrastructure as Key Pillars

Calling the state's development model "ideal", Sharma asserted that the assurance of security is the fundamental first step towards sustainable development. He elaborated that today's Uttar Pradesh not only ranks number one in infrastructure development, including expressways and international airports, but also leads in ease of doing business.

Establishing and operating industries in the state has become not only easy but also completely safe, he noted. This combination of factors has transformed Uttar Pradesh's development model into a source of inspiration for other states across India.

Bundelkhand's Transformation and Industrial Revolution

Citing the example of his own region, Bundelkhand, Sharma highlighted how an area once considered backward in development has now become the engine of the state's economic progress. With the establishment of the Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority (BIDA) and the Defence Corridor in Jhansi, the torch of industrial revolution has been lit in this region.

Additionally, the establishment of Asia's largest and historic Bulk Drug Park in Lalitpur is poised to position Uttar Pradesh as a global pharmaceutical hub. This strategic move is expected to boost the state's economy and create numerous employment opportunities.

Showcasing Local Products and Initiatives

On this occasion, an exhibition under the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative was also held, showcasing a variety of local handicrafts and products. The display featured exquisite Banarasi sarees, intricate Lucknowi chikankari embroidery, and beautifully crafted wooden handicrafts, highlighting the rich cultural heritage and entrepreneurial spirit of Uttar Pradesh.

The event served as a platform to celebrate the state's achievements and outline future strategies for economic growth, reinforcing Uttar Pradesh's commitment to becoming a trillion-dollar economy.
