A 21-year-old woman was allegedly kidnapped from the Barra police station area in Kanpur and later found shot dead, with her body dumped in Bulandshahr, police said on Wednesday. The victim's mother accused a nursing home operator in Unnao and his nephew of abduction and suspected murder of her daughter.

Incident Details

The woman, originally from Unnao, was living in a rented room in B-Block Karrahi Vishwabank Barra for her children's schooling. On May 25, her mother filed a complaint at Barra police station against the operator of Uttam Hospital in Shekhpur, Unnao, and his nephew, an ambulance driver, for physically exploiting her daughter on May 19.

The police reported that after learning about the complaint, the operator's nephew allegedly contacted the woman and arranged a meeting. After exchanging messages, she went to meet him, and her phone was subsequently turned off. When she didn't return, a report was filed at Barra police station for abduction and suspected murder.
