Yogi slams Congress, Rahul Gandhi over 'traitor' remark

Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday launched a sharp attack on the Congress, accusing the party of pursuing what he termed as 'divisive and appeasement politics.' He also condemned a remark made by Rahul Gandhi against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), calling it 'undignified.'

Strongly Worded Statement

In a strongly worded statement, Yogi said that Rahul's comment, which described Modi and Shah as 'traitors,' reflected 'negative politics, an undisciplined mindset, and disrespect towards democratic values.' He further asserted that such remarks are an insult to the democratic mandate and the trust of 145 crore Indians.

Congress Exposed Again

'The Congress, which is the mother of divisive and appeasement politics, has once again exposed its mentality through the objectionable remarks made by its 'yuvraj,'' the Chief Minister said. He demanded that Rahul Gandhi publicly apologize to the nation for what he termed an 'objectionable, unparliamentary, and frustration-driven statement.'
