EC Publishes 2026 Assembly Election Reports in Record Time

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has published the index cards and statistical reports for the general elections to the legislative assemblies and bye-elections 2026, which concluded on May 6.

Key Data Released

The index cards contain data such as candidates, electors, votes polled, votes counted, party-wise and candidate-wise votes polled. They can be accessed from the ECINET App and on https://www.eci.gov.in/statistical-reports. The statistical reports cover details such as state and constituency-wise electors, number of polling stations, state and constituency-wise voter turnout, gender-wise participation, party-wise vote share and constituency data summary report.

Record Time Achievement

Both data sets were published for all 830 assembly constituencies which went to the polls within a record time of 72 hours of poll results. Before ECINET, the process used to take several weeks to months as the data had to be manually filled by the field officials.
