Angad Dutta Wins Youth Congress Elections Again
Youth Congress leader Angad Dutta has been re-elected as president of the Youth Congress, Jalandhar Urban. He had earlier served in the same position in 2019. The election results were announced on June 22, 2026, in Jalandhar.
Dedicated to Late Father Anil Dutta
Dutta dedicated his victory to his late father, Anil Dutta, who was a prominent Congress leader. Anil Dutta served as Block Youth Congress president in 1976, later as District Youth Congress president, Jalandhar, for over a decade, general secretary of the Punjab Youth Congress, and organising secretary of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC).
Political Journey and Previous Roles
Angad Dutta has held several positions in the Youth Congress. He was social media vice-president of Jalandhar Youth Congress from 2014 to 2015, president of Youth Congress, Jalandhar Cantt in 2015, president of Youth Congress, Jalandhar Urban in 2019, and secretary of Punjab Youth Congress in 2023 before his latest re-election.
Leadership in Youth Movements and Welfare Campaigns
During his political career, Dutta has led numerous youth movements, public welfare campaigns, Covid-19 relief initiatives, blood donation drives, and protests on issues affecting the people. He thanked Youth Congress workers and supporters for their faith and stated that this mandate has increased his responsibility.
