BJP Haryana Chief Vows Action in Ram Mandir Donation Theft Case

Newly appointed BJP Haryana state president Dr Archana Gupta has issued a stern warning, declaring that anyone found involved in the alleged theft of donations meant for the Ram Mandir will face stringent legal consequences. Speaking to mediapersons in Karnal on Thursday during her first visit after assuming charge, Gupta asserted that the Uttar Pradesh government is treating the matter with utmost seriousness and is taking firm action against those responsible.

“Even if anyone has stolen a single rupee, they will have to pay the price. No one will be spared under any circumstance,” Gupta said in response to a query about the alleged misappropriation of funds collected for the Ram Mandir construction.

Grand Welcome in Karnal

Dr Gupta received a rousing reception from party workers upon her arrival in Karnal. Large gatherings of BJP supporters lined up at major chowks across the city, greeting her with flower garlands and raising slogans in her honour. The warm welcome underscored the enthusiasm among party ranks following her appointment.

During her address to party workers, Gupta expressed gratitude for the reception and highlighted a renewed wave of energy among BJP workers across Haryana. “Wherever I have travelled in the state after taking over the responsibility, I have witnessed a high level of excitement and commitment among party workers,” she said. “There is an enthusiasm among BJP workers across every district of Haryana, and this spirit will further strengthen the organisation.”

Response to Internal Party Concerns

When asked about concerns raised by a BJP leader in Bahadurgarh that an independent MLA could pose an organisational challenge, Gupta downplayed the issue. She emphasised that any minor differences within the party would be resolved through discussion. “If there is any small issue, we will sit together and resolve it. BJP is a disciplined organisation, and all matters are addressed through dialogue,” she added.

Gupta also addressed the absence of senior leaders, including Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh and a couple of MLAs, from a high-profile Khet Bachao Abhiyan programme at Bawal on Tuesday. The event was attended by Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. Gupta stated that the party would take note of the absences. “If something has happened, the party will take cognisance of it and look into the matter,” she said.

Meeting with Party Leaders and Workers

Later in the day, Dr Gupta was accompanied by Karnal Mayor Renu Bala Gupta, district president Parveen Lather, Karnal MLA Jagmohan Anand, Nilokheri MLA Bhagwan Das Kabirpanthi, Indri MLA Ram Kumar Kashyap, and other senior leaders. She addressed party workers and exhorted them to take the party’s policies to the general public.

The state chief’s visit marks her first official engagement in Karnal after taking charge, signalling her commitment to grassroots outreach and organisational strengthening. Her firm stance on the Ram Mandir donation theft case reinforces the BJP’s zero-tolerance policy towards financial irregularities, even as the party prepares for upcoming political challenges in Haryana.
