The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Janata Dal (Secular) have agreed to establish a coordination committee in Karnataka to strengthen their alliance. The decision was announced on July 10, 2026, following discussions between the two parties.

From the BJP, the coordination committee will include Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, Leader of the Opposition R Ashoka, and state president Vijayendra.
