A teacher of Karnataka's incoming Chief Minister D K Shivakumar has shared fond memories of his school days, recalling him as a 'naughty' boy who was issued a Transfer Certificate (TC) after class 5. Gopalakrishna, Shivakumar's former teacher, reminisced about the leader's early years, painting a picture of a mischievous yet bright student.
Teacher's Recollections
Gopalakrishna, who taught Shivakumar in primary school, said the future chief minister was known for his playful nature. 'He was a naughty boy but very sharp. He always had a smile on his face and was popular among classmates,' the teacher recalled. Shivakumar himself mentioned that Gopalakrishna issued him the Transfer Certificate after class 5, a document that marked the end of his primary education at that school.
A Journey from School to Politics
The teacher expressed pride in Shivakumar's rise, noting that his leadership qualities were evident even as a child. 'He would often take charge in group activities and was fearless in expressing his opinions,' Gopalakrishna added. The memories come as Shivakumar prepares to take oath as the Chief Minister of Karnataka, a role that places him at the helm of the state's governance.
Shivakumar's political journey has been marked by resilience and strategic acumen, but his teacher's anecdotes offer a glimpse into the personal side of the leader. The story has resonated with many, highlighting the humble beginnings of a man now set to lead the state.
