Victims and Response

The deceased were identified as daily wage laborers from neighboring districts. Their bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination. Local authorities have ordered a detailed investigation into the cause of the accident. Preliminary findings suggest that the crane's mechanical failure might have been due to overloading or lack of maintenance.

The state government has announced an ex-gratia payment of Rs. 5 lakh to the families of each deceased worker. Officials from the labor department have also been directed to ensure compliance with safety norms at all industrial units in the region.

Safety Concerns in Industrial Areas

This incident has once again raised questions about workplace safety standards in the industrial sector. Activists and trade unions have called for stricter enforcement of safety regulations and regular inspections of heavy machinery. They emphasize the need for proper training of workers and adherence to operational protocols to prevent such tragedies.

The factory management has been asked to cooperate with the investigation. Further action will be taken based on the findings of the inquiry report.
