BECC Commissioner Orders Railway Vent Completion by May-End

The Bangalore Electric Supply Company (BECC) Commissioner has directed officials to complete the remaining work on the Geddalahalli Railway Vent by the end of May. The directive was issued during an inspection of the site, where the Commissioner reviewed the progress of ongoing construction activities.

Inspection of Desilting and Cleaning Works

During the visit, the Commissioner also inspected the progress of desilting and cleaning works being carried out under the Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) for stormwater drains near Geddalahalli Rajakaluve. The AMC aims to ensure proper drainage and prevent waterlogging during the monsoon season.

Importance of Timely Completion

The railway vent is crucial for managing water flow and avoiding flooding in the area. The Commissioner emphasized that all pending tasks must be expedited to meet the deadline. Officials have been instructed to work in coordination with other departments to ensure seamless execution.
