Bokaro: The Chas Municipal Corporation (CMC) on Tuesday announced plans to install 2,500 streetlights across its 35 wards. This initiative aims to enhance street lighting and improve the overall appearance of the city.
Installation Timeline
The installation process will commence before Muharram, scheduled for June 26, in Wards 1, 8, 9, and 10. Subsequently, the project will be extended to the remaining wards in a phased manner.
Mayor's Statement
Mayor Bholu Paswan stated, “Illuminating every corner of the city remains a priority for the municipal corporation. We are also working on a plan to install solar-powered high-mast lights in every ward in the coming years.”
New Bridge Foundation
In a separate development, Bokaro MLA Shwettaa Singh laid the foundation stone for a new bridge over the Garga River, connecting Tetulia Mouza and Bari Cooperative Moad area in Chas block.
