A tragic road accident in Rajasthan's Beawar district has claimed the lives of a couple and left their three children injured. The incident occurred on Wednesday in the Jwaja block when an unidentified vehicle struck their motorcycle and fled the scene.
Details of the Accident
According to police officials, Jaswant Singh (36) and his wife Sunita Singh (34) were traveling with their three children on a motorcycle heading to a nearby village. Near the Jwaja turn, a speeding vehicle allegedly hit them from behind and did not stop. Locals who witnessed the aftermath gathered at the spot and alerted the authorities.
Emergency Response
All five family members were rushed to the Beawar government hospital. Upon arrival, doctors declared Jaswant and Sunita dead. Their bodies were subsequently moved to the mortuary for postmortem. The injured children, aged seven, five, and two years, received primary treatment at the same hospital before being referred to JLN Hospital in Ajmer for further care.
Police Investigation
Police have registered a case regarding the hit-and-run and informed the relatives of the deceased. An investigation is currently underway to identify the vehicle and the driver responsible for the accident. Authorities are also reviewing CCTV footage from the area and questioning witnesses to establish the sequence of events.
This incident highlights the dangers of reckless driving on rural roads. The family's ordeal has shocked the local community, with many calling for stricter enforcement of traffic laws to prevent such tragedies.
