Exemptions for Hotels
The restriction on the sale of liquor will not apply to the service of alcohol to residents in hotels holding L-15 and L-15F licenses. This means that hotel guests can still consume liquor within the premises, but no retail sale will be permitted.
The excise department has directed all licensees to comply with the order. Violators may face strict action, including suspension or cancellation of their licenses.
