Ganjam district collector Keerthi Vassan V stated, "In the interest of students and to avert any heat-related casualties due to the prevailing heat, we have decided to close all government, aided, and private schools up to the higher secondary level till June 20." He added that teachers and non-teaching staff will continue to report to schools during this period.
