A fire broke out on the rooftop of a hotel near the Sarwate bus stand in Indore on Thursday morning, causing damage to a mobile tower, a rooftop shed, and stored scrap material. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.
Incident Details
Fire officials stated that they received a call around 9 am regarding a blaze in the tower section of Vaishno Hotel, located in the Chhoti Gwaltoli area. Two fire tenders were immediately dispatched to the scene. Firefighters managed to bring the flames under control before they could spread to adjoining structures, preventing a potentially larger disaster in the densely populated area.
Damage Assessment
The fire gutted a shed installed on the hotel’s terrace, equipment belonging to a mobile company’s tower, and old materials stored on the rooftop. Approximately 2,000 litres of water were used during the firefighting operation to extinguish the blaze.
Investigation Underway
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, and an investigation is underway to determine what triggered the blaze. Officials are examining the site and gathering evidence to identify the source of the fire.
