Mysuru: Under the Mysore City Police's drug-free Mysuru campaign, Vimukthi, the Mysuru City Crime Branch sleuths conducted a raid on Monday in the Metagalli police limits. They arrested four individuals, including two young women, on charges of possessing synthetic drugs.
Details of the Raid
According to a release from the office of the Commissioner of Police, the CCB team seized 12.80 grams of prohibited MDMA valued at Rs 1.3 lakh. The operation was carried out under the supervision of the Commissioner of Police, Deputy Police Commissioner, and CCB unit ACP, along with CCB officers and staff as part of the Vimukthi campaign.
Location and Arrests
Based on specific information, a raid was conducted on a house near Chandramouleshwara Temple in Siddalingapura village, where the prohibited drug MDMA was being consumed and stored for sale. The arrested individuals have been identified as Mujib Ur Rehman, Preeti M, Latha, and Raghavendra.
Legal Proceedings
The Metagalli police have registered a case under the provisions of the NDPS Act and are conducting further investigations. This operation is part of the ongoing efforts to make Mysuru drug-free.
