Nellore's BVS School to Receive Major Modernization Funding
Municipal Administration Minister Ponguru Narayana made a significant announcement in Tirupati. He confirmed that the government will allocate Rs 5.5 crore for the complete modernization of the BVS municipal high school located at Stonehouse Peta in Nellore city.
Minister Calls for Alumni Support
Narayana attended the alumni meet at the BVS municipal high school in Nellore on Sunday. He directly addressed the former students during the event. The minister urged them to actively participate in the development of their alma maters.
Narayana emphasized a crucial point for all students. He stated that students should never forget the institutions that played a vital role in shaping their futures.
Wide-Ranging School Development Initiatives
The minister outlined a series of developmental initiatives aimed at transforming municipal schools. The goal is to turn them into modern learning centers equipped for contemporary education.
Apart from the specific Rs 5.5 crore allocation for BVS school, Narayana revealed a broader plan. He stated that 15 municipal schools across Nellore will be upgraded to what he described as "corporate-level" standards.
This upgrade initiative promises to deliver high-quality facilities. The focus is particularly on providing these improved resources for underprivileged students within the municipal school system.
Building on Previous Success
Minister Narayana pointed to a successful precedent. He recalled that the government had already spent ₹15 crore on the development of the VR High School in the region.
That project now serves as a model institution. Other schools can look to VR High School as an example of what modern, state-run education infrastructure can achieve.
The minister further explained the government's collaborative approach. He noted that officials are working with donors and entrepreneurs. This partnership aims to provide the necessary infrastructure and facilities for state-run schools.
The ultimate objective is clear. The government wants to ensure that every student, regardless of background, has access to a world-class learning environment within the public school system.
