The Coimbatore city police have announced temporary traffic restrictions on the GD Naidu flyover situated on Avinashi Road to facilitate essential infrastructure work. According to an official press release, the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) will be undertaking the installation of optical fibre cables on the flyover. This scheduled work is set to commence on May 14 and will continue for a duration of five days, concluding on May 18.

Traffic Restrictions During Night Hours

To ensure the safety of workers and smooth execution of the project, vehicle movement on the flyover will be completely banned from 11:00 PM to 5:00 AM during this period. The city police have urged motorists to cooperate with these traffic restrictions and plan their journeys accordingly to avoid any inconvenience.
