Two Unidentified Men Die in Separate PMPML Bus Accidents

Pune: A 40-year-old man died after jumping in front of a moving PMPML bus on Bund Garden bridge near Parnakuti police chowky on Monday morning. Senior inspector Ravindra Kadam of Pune Police said an accidental death report (ADR) was registered on Monday evening, and efforts are underway to identify the deceased.

Incident Details

The bus was traveling from Yerawada to Pune railway station when the incident occurred. According to the driver and passengers, the man was walking on the bridge footpath before suddenly running towards the bus and jumping in front of it. Before the driver could react, the man came under the front wheel.

Investigation Underway

Police said no identification documents were found on the deceased. We have alerted Pune city, Pimpri Chinchwad, and Ahilyanagar police to check if any missing person matches his description, Kadam added.

Second Incident in Alandi

In a separate incident in Alandi on Monday afternoon, another unidentified man died after coming under a PMPML bus while it was being reversed at a bus stop. Police said a case of rash and negligent driving was registered against the driver.
