In a brazen daylight robbery, two bike-borne men snatched a gold mangalsutra worth Rs 5 lakh from a woman in Bengaluru's Dasanapura area on Tuesday.
Incident Details
The victim, Mamatha M, a 45-year-old gardener, was riding her scooter in search of work around 11:45 am when the incident occurred. According to police, the two men on a motorcycle brushed against her vehicle twice in an apparent attempt to cause an accident. When she slowed down, one of them punched her and snatched the gold mangalsutra before fleeing the scene.
Police Investigation
A case has been registered at the Dasanapura police station, and an investigation is underway. Police are examining CCTV footage from the area to identify the suspects. Initial findings suggest the suspects had been following the victim for some time before the attack.
