In a shocking incident in Lucknow, a local Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader found his car vandalised and stuffed with raw meat, an act he claims was intended to defame him. The event has triggered a police investigation in the Sarojininagar area.
Car Vandalism and Provocative Discovery
The incident came to light on Monday morning when Rahul Mishra, the BJP zonal vice president for Sarojininagar South I, discovered his Maruti Suzuki Swift damaged. Unknown miscreants had shattered the vehicle's rear window by hurling bricks at it.
Upon inspection, Mishra made a more disturbing find: approximately 2 kilograms of raw meat had been placed inside the car. Mishra, a resident of Behsa in Sarojininagar, immediately reported the matter to the Sarojininagar police.
Political Defamation Alleged
Speaking about the attack, Rahul Mishra stated that he strictly abstains from non-vegetarian food. He asserted that the act was carried out with the clear intention of defaming him personally and tarnishing his image.
Mishra also connected the vandalism to a recent local dispute. He mentioned his intervention in a road construction project in his neighbourhood on December 13, which was being carried out using MLA funds. According to him, his efforts to ensure quality work had angered rivals, potentially leading to this retaliatory act.
Police Investigation Underway
The Sarojininagar police have taken swift action by registering a First Information Report (FIR) against unknown persons. Law enforcement officials are actively pursuing leads to identify the culprits.
Police sources have indicated that investigators are currently scanning available CCTV footage from the vicinity of the crime. The dual nature of the offence—vandalism coupled with a highly provocative act—has made the case a priority for the local authorities as they work to apprehend those responsible.
