BJP MLA Rajeshwar Singh Lauds Yogi Government's Historic Transformation of Uttar Pradesh
BJP MLA Rajeshwar Singh on Wednesday declared that Uttar Pradesh has undergone a historic transformation since 2017 under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, emerging as a major growth engine for the entire country.
Key Achievements Highlighted in Governance and Development
In a detailed statement, Singh emphasized the state government's accomplishments, pointing to significant improvements in governance, infrastructure, and inclusive development. He asserted that law and order has been strengthened dramatically, with assets worth over Rs 2,000 crore linked to mafia elements confiscated and more than 10,000 criminals either arrested or neutralized.
Policing has also been modernized through initiatives such as the Dial 112 emergency service, the establishment of cyber police stations, and forensic upgrades, enhancing public safety and efficiency.
Infrastructure Expansion and Economic Growth
Singh highlighted the state's infrastructure boom, noting that seven expressways are currently operational, with several others under construction. Metro services are running in multiple cities, and airport connectivity has expanded significantly, with 16 functional airports and major projects like the Noida International Airport underway.
Economically, Uttar Pradesh has seen remarkable progress. The state's Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) has more than doubled to over Rs 24 lakh crore, contributing approximately 9% to India's overall GDP. Singh projected that UP is moving steadily towards becoming a $1 trillion economy, with investment proposals worth over Rs 35 lakh crore already received, signaling strong investor confidence.
This comprehensive development, according to Singh, underscores Uttar Pradesh's pivotal role in driving national growth and setting a benchmark for governance under the Yogi Adityanath administration.
