BJP Counters Rahul's 'Vote Chori' Charge With Nehru Remark
BJP Rebuts Rahul Gandhi's Vote Chori Allegations

In a sharp political confrontation, BJP leaders have strongly refuted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's allegations of 'vote chori' (vote theft) during a press conference at the party's state headquarters in Bhopal. The ruling party not only dismissed the charges as baseless but launched a counter-offensive by dragging India's first prime minister into the controversy.

BJP's Forceful Rebuttal to Vote Theft Allegations

Cabinet Minister Vishwas Sarang, while addressing media representatives, categorically denied Rahul Gandhi's accusations of electoral malpractice. The BJP leader described the charges as completely false and unfounded, asserting that the Congress party was making desperate attempts to tarnish the ruling party's image.

In a surprising historical reference that escalated the political debate, Minister Sarang claimed that if there has been any instance of 'vote chori' in the country's history, it was perpetrated by India's first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru. The minister alleged that Nehru "became the prime minister from the back door," though he didn't elaborate on what specific historical incident he was referring to.

Congress Training Camp Under Fire

The BJP also targeted the Congress party's ongoing training camp for District Congress Committee (DCC) presidents at Pachmarhi, characterizing it as an "exercise in futility." According to Sarang, the training session exposed the deep-rooted problems within the opposition party rather than strengthening it.

Minister Sarang revealed that Rahul Gandhi himself acknowledged the rampant factionalism within the Madhya Pradesh Congress unit during his stay at the Pachmarhi training camp. The BJP leader claimed that Gandhi had specifically "scolded" both State Congress President Jitu Patwari and Leader of Opposition in the state assembly Umang Singhar for the internal discord.

Internal Rivalry Plagues Congress

Elaborating on the Congress party's internal troubles, Vishwas Sarang pointed to what he described as intense rivalry among Congress leaders. The competition for securing "prize posts" in the party organization for their preferred candidates has significantly weakened the party's structure in Madhya Pradesh, according to the BJP minister.

The sports and youth welfare minister asserted that this internal power struggle and factionalism have brought the Congress party to its current weakened position in the state. The BJP's comments come amid ongoing political preparations for upcoming electoral battles in the region.

The press conference organized at the BJP state headquarters served as a platform for the ruling party to not only defend itself against opposition allegations but also to go on the offensive by highlighting what it perceives as the Congress party's organizational weaknesses and historical contradictions.
