Incident Details

The incident took place on May 11 at the Panchrukhi Devi temple in Gayghat village under Revti police station. The marriage had been arranged between Niki, daughter of Ajay Gond from Dalan Chhapra village, and Vishal Gond, son of Pawan Gond from Mahadanpur village.

According to deputy superintendent of police Mohammad Fahim Qureshi, the dispute began during the ceremony when the bride objected to a saree brought by the groom's side, calling it 'unsuitable.' She then refused to continue with the marriage rituals.
