Monitoring Teams Impose Penalties

Through 26 dedicated monitoring teams, the corporation imposed fines of up to ₹5,000 on each violator. These penalties targeted people who discarded waste despite the presence of designated bins. A recent official release confirmed these enforcement actions.

Daily Cleanliness Drives Maintain Hygiene

The civic body emphasized its commitment to beach hygiene. Cleanliness works are carried out daily in rotational shifts. Sanitation workers and machinery are deployed regularly to keep beach areas clean.

Intensive Pongal Cleanup Campaign

During the Pongal festival period from January 14 to 17, the corporation conducted intensive cleanliness drives. These special efforts resulted in the removal of 233.88 tonnes of solid waste from beach areas.
