Eshwarappa Criticizes Opposition, Calls for BJP Purification Amid Global Tensions
Eshwarappa Slams Opposition, Urges BJP Purification

Eshwarappa Asserts Opposition Is Dead, Demands BJP Purification

In a press conference held on Sunday in Hubballi, former Karnataka deputy chief minister KS Eshwarappa made bold statements about the state's political landscape. He declared that the opposition party in Karnataka is effectively dead, merely waiting for the ruling party to collapse to seize power. Eshwarappa emphasized that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has never held a majority in the state historically, attributing past successes to strategic maneuvering rather than electoral dominance.

Call for Internal Party Reforms

Eshwarappa highlighted the need for purification within the BJP, stating that the party has strayed from its core values. He expressed concern over the suffering of lakhs of party workers who struggle daily, indicating deep-seated issues that require immediate attention. Contrary to speculation, he clarified that his departure from the BJP was not solely due to his son being denied a ticket but stemmed from multiple reasons, with a primary desire to see the party purified first. He noted that higher-ups in the party are aware of what this purification entails.

Eshwarappa's Political Stance and Criticisms

Asserting his commitment, Eshwarappa said he does not have political apathy, having built a life through fighting and touring the state for Hindutva and religious work. He criticized the current state government for forgetting all development works, pointing out that Congress MLAs' increasing thirst for power has silenced voices on critical issues. He urged the government to take initiative to maintain public trust, warning that failure to act against Muslims engaged in attacks on Hindus and treasonous activities could lead to recurrences like the stone-pelting incident in Bagalkot.

Rising Concerns Over Law and Order

Eshwarappa expressed alarm over the growing drug mafia in Karnataka, which he linked to an increase in goons and traitors. He claimed that those with a goonda mentality feel emboldened, believing the government will release them on bail regardless of their actions. Looking ahead, he predicted that the next election will be fought on the issue of Hindutva, with victory reserved for those who protect it.

Global Context: Escalating Tensions with Iran

Amid these local political developments, global tensions have intensified. Israel has launched attacks on Iran, resulting in eight fatalities in Israel from an Iranian missile strike. Further explosions have been reported in Dubai, Doha, and Manama, with airports targeted in these Gulf cities. The United Arab Emirates has urged Iran to go back to your senses following these assaults on Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, and Kuwait. This international conflict underscores the volatile geopolitical climate, adding a layer of urgency to domestic political discourse.
